Once you have had a full hearing assessment, one of our clinicians will work with you to select a hearing aid that best suits your lifestyle and listening needs.

Because we are independently owned, we are able to choose from a number of products to ensure you’re fit with a hearing aid that isn’t just ‘off the shelf’ but is the perfect fit for you. This includes a range of hearing aids that are wireless, extremely discrete, rechargeable, comfortable and technologically savvy. We work with all major hearing aid brands and provide the latest in hearing technology.
We understand that adjusting to a hearing aid can take time. That’s why we offer constant support and follow up with our customers. We offer free follow up appointments for six months to make sure you’re adjusting to and comfortable with your choice of hearing aid.
Am I eligible for Hearing Aid Funding?
There’s a wide range of funding options available making hearing aids more affordable than you may think. Our New Zealand Audiology Society accredited audiologists can help guide you through the funding process depending on your eligibility. Funding options may include the following.
Ministry of Health - NZ citizens and permanent residents over the age of 16 years are entitled to a Government subsidy of $1022.22 towards a pair of hearing aids. For individuals with additional needs, further funding may be available.
ACC - If you have been exposed to significant noise through your type of work or if your hearing loss is caused by an accident, you may be eligible for hearing aid funding.
Veterans Affairs - Returned servicemen can be eligible for hearing aid funding.
WINZ - We are happy to provide quotes for assistance by Work and Income New Zealand.
Types of Hearing Aids
Behind the ear - The behind the ear models are typically the most powerful hearing instrument available. They are shaped as a small curved case that fits behind the ear and are attached to a custom earpiece moulded to the
shape of the outer ear.
Receiver in the ear- These popular devices are cosmetically appealing due to their overall discreetness. They’re small, almost invisible, lightweight and are available in range of colours. Sound travels through an ultra-thin wire into a receiver inside the ear. Positioning the speaker closer to the eardrum provides clearer, more natural
sound quality.
Invisible in the canal - This minute hearing aid fits entirely within the ear canal and can only be seen when someone is looking
directly into the ear. This design is effective as it uses the ear’s natural anatomy for a more natural sound
quality and reduces wind noise.
Lyric - Lyric is the world’s first and only 100% invisible hearing aid that can be worn 24/7 for months at a time.
We are currently the only providers of Lyric in Taranaki. Find out more about Lyric
