Blocked ears? Missing conversation? We can help!

Central Audiology’s skilled Audiologist are trained in microsuction, which is a safe and effective method of ear wax removal, performed under direct vision.

Ear wax plays an important role in ear health as it moisturises and protects the ear canal. In some cases, it can build up to a level that requires removal.

Common symptoms of ear wax blockage:

  • Blocked ears / feeling of fullness
  • Ringing or buzzing noises in the ear
  • Hearing reduction
  • Dizziness

While it is tempting to use cotton buds, their use can interfere with the ear’s natural cleaning mechanism, and can potentially cause damage to the delicate structures of the ear. If you think you may require assistance, be sure to check in with the experts. If we find that wax is not your main issue, our Audiologists will work with you to find the problem, and a solution to help.
